Our aim at Nullamanna and Yarram Shorthorns is to breed bulls which maximise the financial returns to the commercial producer.

We do so by placing selection pressure on four key areas that we believe have a significant impact on the efficient and profiable production of beef.

1. Calving ease
2. Growth
3. Intramuscular fat
4. Retail Beef Yield

Group Breedplan figures, along with individual animal performace, are used to identify elite females from within our herd and the breed at large. These females are then placed into AI and ET programs with similarly slected sires.

We believe that by breeding "like with like" and "stacking" an animal's pedigree with proven and predictable genetics, the resultant progeny will go a long way towards meeting our goal of profitable beef production.
